Ingredients
- 25 g of dried Wakame
- 3 tablespoons of rice vinegar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons of sugar; you can substitute with stevia / splenda or honey
- 1 - 2 tablespoons of soy sauce (substitute with tamari if you prefer gluten-free)
- 1 1/2 teaspoons of toasted sesame oil
- 2 teaspoons of toasted sesame seeds
- a pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon of ginger (optional)
- 1 teaspoon of garlic (optional)
Procedure
- Place the seaweed in a sieve and rinse under running water to remove excess salt.
- After rinsing, put the seaweed in a bowl, add warm water just above the seaweed level, and soak for about 10 minutes – it should become plumper and shinier. Then drain and cut the seaweed into smaller pieces.
- Mix the sesame oil, rice vinegar, soy sauce, sugar, and a pinch of salt in a bowl. Add the seaweed and mix well.
- Let the ingredients blend for about half an hour.
- Before serving, sprinkle toasted sesame seeds, ginger, and chopped garlic to taste on top.
