Squid brand fish sauce is a condiment derived from fish that has undergone a long fermentation process. It is an essential ingredient in many Indochinese dishes, soups and curries and replaces salt.
This fish sauce is made from anchovies, salt and sugar, and is used in moderation because it has a rather intense flavour. The type of fish used is placed in wooden crates to ferment with salt and is slowly pressed until the fish liquid comes out.
