This milky, off-white, lightly sparkling rice wine has a slight viscosity and a mildly sweet, spicy, bitter, and astringent flavor. The chalky sediment gives it a cloudy appearance. As a low-alcohol beverage by volume, it is often regarded as a casual and convivial drink.
