Ingredients:
- 500 grams of pork tenderloin
- 3 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons of hoisin sauce
- 3 tablespoons of honey
- 1 tablespoon of dark soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of Shaoxing wine
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon of Chinese five-spice powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
- Or you can directly use the prepared Char Siu sauce
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F).
- Combine soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, dark soy sauce, Shaoxing wine or dry sherry, minced garlic, Chinese five-spice powder, black pepper, and vegetable oil in a large bowl.
- Add the pork tenderloin to the bowl and make sure it is well coated with the marinade.
- Marinate the pork for at least 2 hours or overnight in the refrigerator.
- Remove the pork from the marinade and place it on a baking tray lined with aluminum foil.
- Cook the pork for 20 minutes, then turn it over and cook for another 20 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 60°C (140°F).
- Let the pork rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing it thinly.
