Chinese BBQ Pork Char Siu

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F).
  2. Combine soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, dark soy sauce, Shaoxing wine or dry sherry, minced garlic, Chinese five-spice powder, black pepper, and vegetable oil in a large bowl.
  3. Add the pork tenderloin to the bowl and make sure it is well coated with the marinade.
  4. Marinate the pork for at least 2 hours or overnight in the refrigerator.
  5. Remove the pork from the marinade and place it on a baking tray lined with aluminum foil.
  6. Cook the pork for 20 minutes, then turn it over and cook for another 20 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 60°C (140°F).
  7. Let the pork rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing it thinly.
Serve with rice or noodles and enjoy your meal!
